Getting Started - Finding a Work at Home Job (1)

Published by msuggitt at 1:21 pm under Uncategorized Edit This

This week the posts will focus on my suggestions on how you can find a work at home job without wasting time or spinning your wheels. Well I’m not going to start off this blog by sugar coating this for you. I won’t tell you that there is a “magic secret” that I can sell you, or that you will be making thousands of dollars with no effort. No I’ll leave that to the scammers. I can only share how I’ve been able to successfully become self sufficient by finding real jobs that pay me to work online. Here is what my advice does NOT include:

  1. Spending all day spinning your wheels tracking down and looking for possible jobs or wasting hours talking with others on forums that are in the same boat, complaining about the lack of work.
  2. Blindly applying to every work at home job you come across in the hopes that you may find the “perfect” job without consideration to whether you are trained for this type of work or whether this is the type of work you would even enjoy.
  3. Using the same resume that landed you a traditional job in the past.
  4. Continuing down the same path if you have not gotten any job bites after looking for 1-3 months.

My advice does include:

  1. Take responsibility for yourself and your situation.
  2. If you are looking for a work at home job, then make it your job to find a job that fits you and your unique talents and skills.
  3. If what you are doing is not generating results you are happy with, then stop and learn how to do things better, in order to get the desired results.
  4. Take the time to properly plan and map out a course of action.
  5. Don’t put all of your eggs in one basket, look for multiple streams of income
